One-on-one Therapy
Holistic Wellness Psychology offers Telehealth and in-person sessions in Albany Creek and Arana Hills to adults (18+). Johanna’s is currently accepting clients on her waitlist for end of 2024 and 2025.
Johanna provides compassionate and evidence-based therapy to support women through various stages of life, particularly around perinatal mental health concerns. Whether you are navigating the emotional complexities of pregnancy, experiencing birth trauma, adjusting to life postpartum, or facing the identity shift known as matrescence.
Another service she is passionate about is supporting fellow neurodivergent women, particularly those navigating the journey pre- or post-diagnosis of ADHD or Autism. Whether you are seeking clarity, understanding your unique brain, or adjusting to life with a diagnosis, I provide a neurodiversity-affirming approach to help you feel empowered and supported throughout the process.
She also offers therapy for common mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, OCD, and perfectionism. These issues often manifest alongside stress and burnout, particularly for women balancing the demands of motherhood, careers, and personal life.
In therapy, I use a range of evidence-based modalities tailored to your individual needs, including:
Schema Therapy: Exploring and healing deep-rooted patterns and beliefs formed in childhood that impact current relationships and behaviour.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing):Aimed at helping you heal from trauma or other distressing life experiences.
ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy): Empowering you to accept difficult emotions and commit to value-driven actions.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy: Promoting relaxation and emotional regulation through present-focused awareness.
Compassion-Focused Therapy: Helping you cultivate self-compassion and reduce self-criticism.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): To help reframe negative thought patterns and manage symptoms of anxiety and depression.
My approach is trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and holistic, recognizing the unique experiences and challenges women face. Together, we’ll create a space where you can feel empowered, supported, and ready to thrive in all areas of your life.

* MHCP and Private Health fund rebates may apply.
Session fees at Holistic Wellness Psychology are subject to change, and in 2024 the Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommended fee is $300 per session. You can access therapy using Medicare under a Mental Health Care Plan for upto 10 sessions for a valid referral by a GP, using an Eating Disorder Plan (EDP) providing you up to 40 therapy sessions, or via private health insurance. Just make sure to note this at the time of booking the appointment.
Please note that while Johanna welcomes referrals from clients of all genders, her primary focus is supporting individuals who are AFAB (assigned female at birth) and those who identify as female.
